Climate Emergency

Bryning with Warton Parish Council have joined other National, County, Town and Parish councils to declare

a Climate Emergency which mean the Council will consider the environmental consequences of any of it's decisions.

Pubic support is vital, and here are five simple ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

  • Going zero waste is a great step towards combating climate change. ...

  • Bike or Walk more and drive less: ...

  • Conserve water and protect our waterways: ...

  • Eat seasonally, locally, and more plants: ...

  • Switch were possible to sustainable, clean energy

Compostable Refuse Sacks

In keeping with the core ideas from the Campaign, the Council have switched over to compostable refuse sacks (for litter collection) which although more expensive are obviously better for the environment, we will be using these now instead of the 'Black Plastic' bags commonly used.

We would seek to encourage residents and local business to adopt a similar philosophy where possible. If you are interested in obtaining these via the Parish Council please contact us.
